A Dream
and other cinquains
I found a secret room inside your house where I could stay without troubling you too much.
The cinquain is a short poem form. It contains five lines, each of which has a specific syllable count (2, 4, 6, 8, 2). I played a lot with cinquains this week, the best of which is posted above. Some other examples will be provided bellow.
Venus and Jupiter walk me home from the bar after I sang all I can sing. Sober.
Eagle so high above the trees and peaks: what happens if his muscles cramp? Fun'ral.
I will say something important, or else die in the pursuit of this calling. Bloom! Burn!

I enjoyed this. There is something almost intensely divine in this way of writing poetry - something that, to me, echoes Japanese poetry: a sharp, concentrated meaning carried in the resonance of brevity.
Very nice collection, did not know this form but feel tempted to try it now!
